Joel P. Trigiani

Joel Trigiani has been actively engaged in the practice of law since 1980. For the past decade, Joel has represented the Laborers’ District Council of Philadelphia and Vicinity and Laborers’ Local 332. This representation includes contract negotiations, ERISA and Labor Management Reporting Act issues for the various Taft-Hartley Funds. He has been retained as co-counsel to the Laborers’- Employers’ Cooperative Education Trust, Philadelphia Area Health and Safety Fund and the Laborers District Council Prepaid Legal Fund. His labor law experience comprises of litigating matters before the United States district courts, National Labor Relations Board, the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board, and arbitrations associated with the various collective bargaining agreements of the Laborers’ District Council of Philadelphia and Vicinity.

Joel has also litigated both criminal and civil matters in a majority of the counties of Pennsylvania. For the past three decades, Joel has also practiced in the federal courts of Florida, West Virginia, New Jersey, District of Columbia, Delaware and Pennsylvania. He has tried numerous high profile cases, including a case involving the harboring of fugitives in connection with the World Trade Center bombing, the Dover Airforce methamphetamine case, political corruption cases and an exhaustive number of white collar cases. Joel has gained numerous acquittals and declinations in both federal and state court. He continues to represent clients in complex federal criminal matters. His clients include both individuals and corporations.

Joel has lectured on numerous labor related issues and spoken for the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (PACDL) on both federal and state criminal topics. Joel is a founding member of PACDL and a past President of the organization. He was appointed by former Chief Justice Robert Nix of Pennsylvania Supreme Court to sit as a member of the Supreme Court Criminal Procedural Rules Committee (1993-1999).

Joel is a graduate of Dickinson College (Dana Scholar), and the Delaware Law School of Widener University. Mr. Trigiani is a member in good standing of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
