Joseph T. Cleary

Joe Cleary has always represented labor unions and their members. He has deep roots in the union movement. Prior to obtaining his law degree, Joe worked in the union movement as an officer of United Auto Workers Local 1612 for over 20 years. He held various positions in the local union and, while serving his apprenticeship as a pipefitter, he was elected shop steward when he was 18 years old. Joe was a full-time Shop Chairman or Business Agent for the local for over 20 years. He put himself through both college and law school at night while serving the local union. He is now a member of the Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York Bars, as well as the Federal Courts and Appellate Courts in all of those States. He is a graduate of the evening divisions of St. Joseph's University and the Temple University Law School.
